Abstract The feline hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is one of many cardiac diseases known in domestic animals, and it especially frequent cats all ages. HCM the most common heart disease cats, affecting almost 15 % population. Maine Coon Ragdoll breeds are shown to have a special gene that responsible for appearance these breeds. Hypertrophic can be detected by: echocardiography, electrocardiography (ECG), radiography, genetic testing, test including N- terminal prohormone brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP). frequently used method clinical purposes echocardiography.
